CoreStack Appoints Raj Kunnath as President of BetterCloud to Accelerate Unified Governance Across Cloud, SaaS, and AI

Raj Kunnath has been appointed President of BetterCloud as CoreStack advances its unified Agentic Governance Operating System. The move marks a pivotal integration phase, combining cloud, SaaS, and AI governance for over 2,000 global customers and billions in managed enterprise spend.

BetterCloud, now a CoreStack company, today announced the appointment of Raj Kunnath as President of BetterCloud, marking a defining moment in the company’s evolution as it aligns with CoreStack’s enterprise governance strategy. Kunnath, a CoreStack executive with more than two decades of experience in enterprise SaaS, large-scale M&A, and global technology transformation, will lead BetterCloud’s operational and integration strategy as the combined entity builds toward a unified Agentic Governance Operating System across cloud, SaaS, and AI.

The appointment comes as the combined company serves over 2,000 customers globally, governing more than $6 billion in annual cloud consumption and $35 billion in SaaS spend. The scale and complexity of this portfolio underscore the need for experienced, execution-focused leadership to drive integration and growth.

Kunnath brings extensive operational depth and strategic reach to the role, having led more than 80 acquisitions throughout his career. He is widely recognized for converting complex integrations into competitive advantages. His experience spans enterprise SaaS platforms, go-to-market execution, and global operating models, with high-impact transformation roles at organizations including Microsoft and major global financial institutions. At CoreStack, he has already operated at the intersection of technology, business, and strategy.

As President of BetterCloud, Kunnath will focus on integration execution, customer and partner success, and the next phase of organic growth. A key priority will be enabling the Agentic Governance OS vision being jointly developed by CoreStack and BetterCloud. In his statement, Kunnath emphasized the company’s positioning, stating that BetterCloud has built a true category, a loyal customer base, and a platform central to how modern enterprises manage SaaS environments, while underscoring the importance of seamless integration and uninterrupted customer service.

CoreStack CEO Ez Natarajan highlighted the strategic significance of the appointment, describing Kunnath as a leader capable of executing at pace, integrating with precision, and inspiring teams and customers. He noted that AI is transforming enterprise operations from systems that are managed to systems that act, shifting the challenge toward governing outcomes at machine speed. Natarajan stated that Kunnath’s leadership will be critical in delivering this vision while maintaining customer and partner trust.

In a further signal of continuity and confidence, David Politis, founder of BetterCloud, will join the combined entity as Strategic Advisor. Politis, who founded BetterCloud in 2011 and pioneered the term “SaaSOps,” built the company into a category-defining platform for SaaS management and security. Over more than a decade, he raised 7 million, scaled operations across New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco, and established BetterCloud as a market leader. He also authored The IT Leader’s Guide to SaaSOps (Volumes 1 and 2) and has been featured in The New York Times, Fortune, CIO, and the BBC.

Politis stated that BetterCloud was built on the belief that SaaS applications required a dedicated operational discipline, a vision that has now matured into a full category. He described the integration with CoreStack as a natural evolution and expressed confidence in Kunnath’s ability to lead the next phase, while affirming his continued involvement as Strategic Advisor.

The combined platform introduced by CoreStack and BetterCloud is positioned as the industry’s first Agentic Governance Operating System, offering a unified control plane that governs cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, and AI-driven systems continuously and at machine speed. The platform enables enterprises to orchestrate autonomous systems, enforce governance intent without manual intervention, and unify FinOps across cloud and SaaS into a single operational model.

CoreStack continues to position itself as a leading Agentic Governance OS provider for FinOps, security, and compliance in the AI-accelerated enterprise, enabling organizations to achieve velocity with control by governing cost, risk, compliance, and operations across cloud, SaaS, and AI-driven systems. BetterCloud, meanwhile, remains a leading all-in-one SaaS management platform, trusted by thousands of customers and more than 2 million users, overseeing $35 billion in annual SaaS transactions.

The appointment of Raj Kunnath and the continued involvement of David Politis signal a critical phase in the integration of CoreStack and BetterCloud, reinforcing their ambition to redefine enterprise governance in an era increasingly shaped by AI-driven systems and machine-speed operations.
